Step-by-Step Instructions on How To Apply for HEEHRA and Clean Tech Heat Pump Rebates

Follow these steps below to apply for HEEHRA and Clean Tech rebates and maximize your savings with up to $9,500 in total rebates!

1. Verify Your Income Eligibility

• Access the HEEHRA Income Verification Portal:
  Visit the HEEHRA Income Verification Portal to determine if you qualify for rebates.
• Check the Income Guidelines:
  Enter your county and household size to see if your income qualifies for:
  • Up to $8,000: For households earning less than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
  • Up to $4,000: For households earning between 80% and 150% of the AMI.

2. Select Big Wave Heating & Air Conditioning as Your Contractor

• Choosing a certified and licensed contractor:
  Select Big Wave Heating & Air Conditioning, a TECH Clean California-Certified & HEEHRA-certified Contractor, for your heat pump project.
• Contact Big Wave Heating & Air Conditioning:
  Email cr@callbigwave.com or call (949) 933-5315 to discuss your heat pump options and start the rebate process.

3. Complete the Income Verification Process

• Create an Account:
  Go back to the HEEHRA Income Verification Portal and set up your account.
• Enter Big Wave’s Contact Information:
  During the application, input the contractor’s email: cr@callbigwave.com.
• Submit Income Documentation:
  Follow the portal’s prompts to upload necessary documents, such as pay stubs or tax returns, to verify your eligibility.

4. Wait for Approval

• Approval Timeline:
  After submitting your documents, you’ll receive a confirmation email within approximately three business days.
• Track Your Application:
  Log into your HEEHRA portal account to check the status of your application.

5. Schedule Installation

• Reserve Rebate Funds:
  After approval, we will reserve the rebate funds for your project.
• Heat Pump Installation:
  Schedule the installation of the eligible ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump system in your home, ensuring all program requirements are met.

6. Receive Your Rebate

• Rebate Disbursement:
  Depending on your project, the rebate may be applied as an upfront discount or provided as a reimbursement after the installation is completed.

• Eligible Equipment:
  Rebates apply to ENERGY STAR® certified heat pumps with two-speed or variable-speed systems. We will help you choose a qualifying system that is eligible and within your budget.
• Program Funding:
